Different sea cruises are also available such as Algoa Bay Cruises, Sundowners Cruises allowing you to view the city at night clothed with lights or a St Croix Island Cruise which is the main breeding ground of penguins and other sea birds. Whale watching is also on offer in the famous Algoa Bay where many of the Southern Right Whales are returning to the bay to calve appearing as early as July and peaking during the months of September to November. Seals, Dolphins and Penguins can be seen throughout the year. There is a large variety of birdlife including Cormorants, Gannets, Albatross, Petrels, Terns and Gulls.
